MOBILE PETTING ZOO
Have an event or a special occasion you want to add excitement to? Why not add a mobile petting zoo? Green Roof Acres has a variety of animals to bring to your event. Kids from 1-100 will be enchanted by the love from alpacas, llamas, goats, sheep, miniature donkeys, turkeys, geese, ducks, chickens, bunnies, and even a miniature pig. Depending on time of year, we might even have babies we can bring as well. Who doesn't love petting animals?
Nursing Home, Rehab hospitals, Schools, and even Business
We can visit nursing homes, rehabilitation facilities, schools, and even businesses. They all will benefit greatly from an animal visit. Brighten the moods of your employees, students or patients. It has been proven that animals can bring out the happiness in nursing home and rehab residents as well as hospitalized patients.
BIRTHDAY PARTIES
Turning another year older? Who wouldn't want to spend their birthday with animals? Whether you have your party at the farm or at your location it is sure to be a memorable one. We have different price packages to choose from as well.
If you choose to have it at the farm, you can play with the animals, and we have yard games as well. We can provide food, drinks, snacks, music, decorations, balloons, pinata, and more for additional costs.
If you choose to have GRA come to your location, we will bring 5 of your favorite animals, a corral, decorations, balloons, pinata, and more. And additional "Add Ons" if desired for additional costs.
LIVE NATIVITY ANIMALS
Christmas is extremely meaningful when you actually celebrate it with the animals that were actually the ones who witnessed the event. If your church, club, or organization is in need of Live Nativity animals, GRA can make it happen for you.
BEVERAGE BURROS
Our unique take on a beverage service is our Beverage Burro. Miss Olivia will be fitted with her special saddle bag holder and inside these bag saddle holders will be your favorite (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) beverages and ice. Miss Olivia will be walked around your family picnic, reunion, neighborhood block party or even your corporate event bearing "cold ones" at your fingertips. We will also take your empty from you, so you are not walking around looking for a trash bin. Rest assured Miss Olivia will be cleaned up after, no worries there. We will also decorate Miss Olivia for your event's theme. Imagine the conversations of your guests seeing this unique service.
On the other hand, it doesn't have to be adult beverages, or beverages at all. We can hand out flowers or bubbles at a wedding, gender reveal items, just about anything you can think of. Have an idea. let us know, we are more than happy to help set you up.
ANIMAL-GRAMS
Want to make a memorable Valentine's Day, St Paddy's Day, Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Graduation, Promotion, or just an "I Love You" surprise? Or maybe you want to make a proposal like no other? Or maybe you just want to say Happy Birthday to her at her work? Well, GRA can help you with that. We will bring an animal of your choice to help surprise your loved one at your home, office, school, church, or wherever you want us to be. We can bring a gift basket, flowers, candies, balloon bouquet, or whatever it is you want us to bring. You will get 20-25 minutes to take photos and pet the animal. What a way to surprise your loved one! Oh, and the Easter Bunny said he is coming along on the Easter Animal-Grams as well as Leroy the Leprechaun for St Paddys Day. Maybe Teddy will be available for Animal-grams as well.
PHOTO SHOOT ANIMALS
We can bring an animal of your choice to your photography session, your wedding, reception, graduation, pregnancy pics, shoot, engagements, or whatever type of photo session you are having, we can bring an animal to brighten your shoot.
School Reading Days
Green Roof Acres will come to your elementary school/ day care and have a "Reading Day" with a class of students. We will bring an animal such as an alpaca to you. Then you read to your students while we walk the animal around the children. After the reading, the children will be able to pet the animal and teachers can take some photos.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I make a reservation?
You can make your reservations via Facebook page, phone, email, snail mail, or here on the website. We will then mail your contract to be signed and a non-refundable deposit to be made.
What animals do you have?
We have alpacas, llamas, goats, sheep, mini donkeys, turkeys, chickens, geese, bunnies, pigs, and if we have babies at certain times of the year. We hope to add a miniature pony and cow in the future.
How far will you travel?
We tend to keep a 50-mile radius but will travel further with milage fees added.
What about inclement weather if I have a reservation?
If you made a deposit and the weather is just too bad for your event and it has been a posted weather advisory, or the weather is too bad for our animals to be in, we will refund your deposit if given a 24-hour notice. Less than 24-hour notice by you will result in a forfeited deposit.
Do I need to make a deposit?
You can make a deposit here on the webpage or we can do one over the phone. and by mail when you sign contract.
Do you provide hand sanitizer?
Yes, we will have several hand sanitizer stations as well as signage explaining the reasons to use it.
What are your hours and your seasonal months?
We are basically open at all times. Through the winter months we will schedule Animal-Grams and Live Nativities and special events as well. But normal season is May-October.
Do you have us sign a contract?
Yes, we have a contract to sign, and a deposit will be made at that time.
What if an animal bites me or my child?
We are insured, and also will have a first-aid kit and ice packs available if needed, the animals really do not bite., but animals are highly unpredictable and respond differently to all sights and sounds daily. We also will have a waiver for everyone to sign. The owner is also an EMT so she will be able to look at and tend to the bite as well.
What are your prices and milage costs?
Please message us what you are thinking of, duration, location, and dates and we will let you know if we have that date open, give you a price and any milage fees as well. Or we can always talk about it on phone, email, text, or whatever. We can even meet in person to go over important details of events, and lastly, we can mail or email you our rates and services flyer.

About us
Green Roof Acres is a brand-new business here in Hollidaysburg, PA. It has always been my dream to work with animals, all my life I have enjoyed many animals at my home.
I had always wanted to become a veterinarian, but the closest schooling was going to be way too far away for me. I wanted some type of job helping people or animals. So, I decided to help people instead of animals and I became an EMT upon graduation last year. While having animals and taking care of them, I still wanted to start a business of some sort dealing with my animals. It was last summer, 2023, that I had the idea of opening my own Mobile Petting Zoo business. So, as my dream came to reality in January 2024 with the help of my mom, I am beyond happy with the number of inquiries so far for my petting zoo. I also came up with many other services I can provide to you as well. While my dream continues to grow, so do my ideas.
I hope to manage my main job as an EMT as well as a business owner together in harmony. It is with a great deal of love and dedication that I have my mom and my brother at my side to help if my schedule should not allow for your reservation date. We hope to be able to accommodate just about any date.
Not too bad for a 19-year-old. Hopes and dreams do prevail if you persevere and have the Lord in your heart.

We may not have the actual Farm ready to be open this Summer, as we are overjoyed with the reservations already for petting zoo dates. We had no idea it would take off so quickly. We thought we would have lots of time to get the farm ready for visits in between petting zoo gigs. We will be working on things as time permits and let you know when we will be open to the public at the farm.

In the near future, we will be opening a Farm Store where we will be selling our alpaca fiber, alpaca fiber products actually made from our alpaca's fiber, goat milk soap, gloves, scarves, hats, socks and much more. When we are ready for school field trips, we will have a cheaper "trinket" section so the children can purchase a trinket from their field trip.

Hello! I know it’s last minute but I was just wondering if you had an animal available to do a birthday-gram April 9th in portage. How much would a service like that be? Could we provide or add on balloons and a card or a treat/gift or something like that?
